We have been describing to our best ability the likes of the ICU and Dad's condition over the past 2 weeks...but they do say pictures speak a thousand words. So see for yourself....

  2. Hi All,

Carmel here (Julie's sister). Well I finally built up enough courage yesterday to visit Bryan. I had been up to the hospital a couple of times beforehand but I didn't trust myself to "hold it together" to actually go in and see him. With him out of ICU now and breathing by himself I thought i'd risk it!

I can't say there were no tears when I saw him for the first time but they didn't last long as Bryan was in good spirits and looking great. I think the attention he is getting from both Julie and Rebecca (and the rest of his family) and his own determination are a winning combination.

I tell you what, visiting the spinal ward sure does make you appreciate the little things in life, like being able to turn pages of a book or hold a cup of water and drink from it unaided. I'm sure Bryan is looking forward to that day and hopefully that day is coming soon.

    ....

  3. Great to see and hear how well you are doing Bryan. What an amazing week - you have come so far. Sounds like you have had a hectic week with visitors etc. Would love to see you - but may wait until the dust settles a little. Seems like you are in good hands, plenty of company, and finally some clothes again (thank the lord!!)
Sarah and I are keeping an eye on this blog and really are so proud to be "friends of the Flemmings". You are all amazing.
    Love always
